I'm a Midwestern girl, born and raised in Ohio, who is passionate about communicating brand messages. I've always been intrigued with what happens behind-the-scenes of a brand and the hard work it takes to communicate a brand message effectively.
I've strategically sought organizations where I could hold a role in event planning, public relations, marketing, web development and design.
I've done projects and held roles at Bowling Green State University, Hollywood Casino Toledo, The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, Collingwood Arts Center, United Way of Greater Toledo, and more.
Currently, I am an digital news assistant at The Blade and a freelance copywriter. I am seeking virtual internship roles in the industries of art, event planning, fashion, tech, beauty, nonprofit, luxury, entertainment, agency and administration.
During my senior year of high school, I recognized what I was great at but didn't know how to fit it into a field of study. After meeting with my guidance counselor, and watching Devil Wears Prada, I knew I was built for a fast-paced career in communications. I wanted to study both marketing and public relations, so I decided to declare my major and minor. Throughout my college career, I held leadership positions in organizations focusing on journalism, event planning, and philanthropy.
As time went on, I realized communications didn't have to be confined by words - I could also communicate through design. I downloaded the Adobe Creative Suite, hopped on Youtube and Skillshare and taught myself everything that I know today. In my post-grad journey, I've had the pleasure of working in art, B2B, and entertainment. I've also had the pleasure of doing freelance projects and meeting awesome individuals that have helped me grow and shape my career. My goal is to continue to challenge myself and to share my expertise.
